Muchea Netball Club
Bone Marrow Registration Fair
Our Community has been hit with a number of challenges of late, the most recent belonging to local family man, businessman and councillor Steve Vallance. Steve has an aggressive lymphoma and is on the look out for a compatible Bone Marrow donor.
The Red Cross has so far exhausted the national register, and is now investigating the world register.
The Muchea Netball Club will be holding a Bone Marrow Registration Fair to help with the process. The Red Cross will be in attendance, to test anyone 18+.
Where: Muchea Hall, Archibald St Muchea
When: Saturday August 27th 9am - 2pm (approx)
Who: The mini fair being held in the Hall is for everyone, with Physio offering advice on Sport Strapping. Anyone healthy and aged between 18 - 40 years can be tested.
Why: To put your name on the Bone Marrow Register and Save Lives!
Does it hurt? NO! You only need to have a blood sample taken from your arm (not your hip) and that's it.
BONUS: you get a free tea/coffee/milo AND a home made scone or cake if you register!
If you are interested in being a stall holder on the day (fee is a conscience donation to Red Cross) please ring either Kylie (0457777106) or Natalie (95714090 or 0472383020) to make a booking.
